Shannon is the Director of Global Initiatives of C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, a network of the world's megacities committed to addressing climate change where she was previously Head of the Energy Initiative. Before joining C40, she spent 15 years working on energy and environment issues with think tanks and non-profit organisations.
