This gallery of images provides a glimpse into the exhibition featuring finalist images from the CitiesToBe Photo Award 2023, held at Barcelona’s Gustavo Gili building. Taking place on May 30, 2024, the event celebrated the intersection of urban complexity and photography, organized by CitiesToBe by Anteverti with the support of the European Nomadic Biennial Manifesta, slated for autumn 2024 in Barcelona.
Curated by CitiesToBe by Anteverti, the exhibition showcased the exceptional creations of the CitiesToBe Photo Award finalists to the Barcelona community. The display included works by winner Nathalie Daoust, Honorary Mentions Benedetta Ristori, Laura Roth, Gianluca Cecere, Dasha Sapranetskaya, Therese Debono, Ralph Gräf, Mithail Afrige Chowdhury, Ghazaleh Yazdanparast Tehrani, Toma Gerzha, and Finalists Jordi Jon Pardo, Jean-Marc Caimi & Valentina Piccinni, Seyyed Mohammadvahid Nasseri, Nuno Serrão.
The exhibition, brought to life by Barcelona-based studio Gracias Grecia and artist Marta Velasco using an exquisite silk printing technique, captured the dynamic and vibrant essence of urban life.
Visitors had the chance to take home exhibited works and other highlights from the CitiesToBe Photo Award 2023 in postcard form, contributing to the wider recognition of these talented artists.
